Farah Lodi, MA, CCC, is the owner of Moving Forward, a counseling service in Dubai, UAE. Farah has lived on three continents, is multiculturally sensitive, and helps clients from diverse backgrounds in both individual and couples counseling. She has a master’s degree in mental health counseling from Seton Hall University in the United States, and
is a Canadian-Certified Counselor. She has been a featured writer for the Canadian Counseling and Psychotherapy Association online journal, Counseling Connect, and has created an online counseling forum, Support Seekers (, which is a free community service. She is also an adjunct instructor at Zayed University in Dubai, where she supervises psychology interns and is frequently invited as a guest speaker, both in the United Arab Emirates and internationally. In October 2016 she presented a paper on spiritual modeling based on Prophet Mohammed at the International Psychology Conference in Dubai, and was invited to present at the Middle East Psychology Association annual meeting in April 2017. Over the past ten years, she has participated in a study circle focusing on the works of theologians such as Al Ghazali, and through this process developed a special interest in Prophet Mohammed’s life. Her recent research focuses on the psychospiritual significance of meditation, especially relating to the ninety-nine names of Allah, and on a psychological analysis of the Prophet Mohammed’s resiliency.
